Clean Your Home Appropriately During Summer

This summer, think about doing some cleaning and organizing in your house. A little effort goes a long way in making your home a more comfortable and personalized place to live.

Tips For Cleaning Your Home This Summer

  • 1.       Reduce clutter – When you leave a lot of stuff sitting around it attracts dust and allergens which can make be bad for aesthetics and your health. You can reduce clutter by telling your children to put their toys back in their place after they have finished playing with them and by putting dirty clothes in the hamper so they can be easily taken to the washer.
  • 2.       Stop dirt at the door – One of the best things that you can do to keep your house clean is to stop dirt from getting inside.  Try putting a rug or doormat at your door so people can wipe their feet before they walk in your home. Protect your floors and carpets by adding a little stomper for people to use before entering your home.
  • 3.       Leave doors open – Let the air in! Try leaving your shower doors or curtains open so that walls can air dry.  You can also spray your bathroom walls with mildew protectant after you take a shower to prevent mildew and so you don’t have to scrub it off later.
  • 4.       Quick clean-ups – It sounds basic, but try cleaning up crumbs and leftover food, right after you make your meals or eat your food. This will reduce the time that  you spend cleaning dishes. Try getting your kids to help with cleaning chores.  This will teach them to be responsible and it everything will get done faster, if you work as a team.
  • 5.       Clean clothes stains promptly – The faster you try to clean some stains on your clothes the more likely you’ll be able to get it out. If you leave your clothes there and don’t take the stain off promptly, it could stay on them forever or become a hassle to clean.

So try using some of your free time this summer, for making your home look cleaner and nicer. It is really easier than you think and it will make you feel great.

It Is Not Too Late To Get Your Spring Cleaning Done

We are already halfway into spring and if you have not started cleaning your home or yard, it is still not too late for you to get the work done. Even if your skills do not compare to those of the pros and experts out there, you can still get things very clean and ready for the summer.

So keep reading and find out about spring-cleaning tips from the experts, which will help you have a very comfy home, almost right away.  These are easy tips that anyone can do.

Spring Cleaning Tips To Follow

Vacuuming the Right Way – Almost everyone starts their spring cleaning with vacuuming their home, but just vacuuming is not enough, you have to do it the right way!  If you have carpets, kids or pets, you will need to vacuum more often than other people do.  This will not only increase cleanliness around your home, but it will make it much better for your kids too.  Always remember to start at the far end corner, so you do not leave any footprints or get more dirt over what you have already vacuumed.

Clean Your Pantry – We all have things in our pantry that we will never use and spring is the perfect time to get these things out of the way.  Placing bowls with vinegar or beans, inside your pantry can help to control odors.

Cleaning Supplies – Go visit your closest store and find some useful cleaning supplies.  Try having these in every level of your home, if you have a two or more story home, simply place some of those supplies in different rooms around your home, like your laundry room, your bathroom or kitchen.

Stop Procrastinating - If you have to do some cleaning, just get to it and forget about procrastinating.  This will not lead you anywhere and it will only deter you from completing your tasks on time.  Always look at the positive side of things and visualize your home, once it looks perfectly clean.

Use Baskets – If you need some storage space, baskets are your best choice. Not only do baskets have a vintage look, but they are also easy to store in a closet and easy to place items in.

So remember that you still have time left for spring-cleaning around your home and these simple tips should help you get started right away.  Don’t forget to click the social buttons below and to keep visiting our blog for more tips to improve your home.

How To Create A Safe And Convenient Home

Tips For Having A Better Home

We all want to have a comfortable home, which is why we always try to buy new appliances or remodel parts of our homes, which we don’t enjoy anymore.  In this article, we will tell you how to make your home more safe and efficient, which will make you enjoy it even more.

Try This And Improve Your Home

·         Worry About Safety First – A home that is not safe is not a home at all.  Some experts say that bathtubs can be a safety hazard, even for people who are perfectly healthy. Every shower and bathtub should have railing or bars installed, as they can prevent a lot of accidents and will make your bathrooms look better too.  Consolidating hot and cold water knobs, into one single knob, can also help you to have a comfier bath, which is why these knobs are now recommended by most experts out there.

·         Accessibility and Comfort – Wood or cork floors can really improve the comfort of your home, as these are easier on your hips and knees.  Workspaces, with a place to sit, such as a kitchen countertop with a stool, can benefit cooks by not making their joints hurt.

·         Simplified Access – Having walkways and driveways as direct as possible can really make a home more accessible as well as having some paved ramps, instead of some stairs.  Not having to walk much from your car to your doorstep minimizes the risk of falling and being involved in other accidents.  Installing, motion activated lights, can also be very helpful and it will make your home look inviting too.

·         Light Things Up – We are all getting older and this means that our sight is also deteriorating.  Adding more and better quality lights can really improve our homes, as we grow older, these will prevent us from not seeing things and bumping into objects, every now and then.

·         Think Ahead – Many home designers state that homeowners should think ahead when they are remodeling their homes, as this can save them tons of money and time in the long run. One example of this is to install other things or wires once you have your walls open, this will save effort and will keep you from hiring remodeling staff more than once.

By following some of these tips, you will certainly have a more comfortable and efficient home, which will allow you to live a better lifestyle.  If you are not certain about the remodeling that you can do to your home, you can always contact All About the Pipes for more tips and guidance.  Our expert plumbers are always ready to help and we will provide you with some simple solutions to your problems.
